When the Su family goes bankrupt, her mother falls critically ill, and designer Su Wan is driven to her wits' end, Gu Corporation CEO Gu Yanci hands over a marriage agreement: a one-year formal marriage, where he pays off the medical bills and she shields him from a family arranged marriage. Under the contract, he steps in to back her up and slap faces time and again, and she establishes her footing in the Gu family while reclaiming her design work. Yet an old draft in the study, featuring a style identical to hers, makes her suspect she is merely a substitute for someone else.
