Modern law student Song Qingmiao travels through worlds carrying a bronze coin bookmark, landing in Qingxi County Yamen and becoming a female legal advisor whom everyone looked down upon. Relying on modern legal principles and rigorous logic to repeatedly solve hanging cases, from the market cow-stealing case and marriage-fraud case to the great national treasury military-grain corruption case, she turns the tables against the wind all the way; she and the cold-outside-warm-inside Shen Yanzhi go from being at loggerheads to seeing eye to eye, braving court storms together, guarding justice in the world, and also reaping a two-way rushing fulfilling romance, finally retiring in the bustling mortal world of Qingxi.
