Zhou Qiong opens her eyes to find herself transmigrated as a madwoman feared by everyone in an ancient mountain village, burdened with two frail, suffering children. The original host was mentally deranged, biting her own young and living in utter squalor under cold neighborly glares. Upon waking up lucid, Zhou Qiong draws upon modern common knowledge to reclaim wasteland for vegetables, repair the house, treat the elderly and children next door with kindness, earn money by foraging medicinal herbs to better their lives, reclaim land seized by their eldest uncle, and assist the third uncle's household. Leading these struggling children out of hunger and cold all on her own, she works diligently in the barren mountain village to usher in peaceful, joyous days.
