Saibei Ploughman's Record - Season 1
He was originally just an ordinary ploughman in the lands of Saibei, facing the yellow earth and turning his back to the sky day in and day out, guarding a few mu of thin fields at home, asking for nothing more than three meals of warmth and fullness, living securely through the seasons of spring and autumn, never entertaining wild delusions of fame or career. Yet the beacon fires of the border suddenly flared, external enemies watched with covetous eyes, and local powerful families wantonly bullied and oppressed their fellow villagers, leaving the common people displaced and their peaceful days completely torn apart. He gripped the rough hoe in his hand tightly, gazed upon his ravaged homeland and suffering fellow villagers, and a sudden realization dawned in his heart. In times of chaos, there are never ordinary people who can stand apart from the events, and for this land that nurtured and raised him, someone must step forward, exhausting every drop of flesh and blood to protect the thousands of ordinary households behind them.
