Record of the Lonely Lamp
The saber-wielding swordsman Shen Gu pursued vengeance for seven years, slaying the Seven Wolves of the Northern Desert. Following the clue of his master's legacy scabbard, he broke into a dilapidated temple on a snowy mountain on a blizzard night. The old monk Huiji in the temple was the very person who collected the blades for the enemy back then. After a fight with a dust whisk against a saber, the truth unraveled layer by layer: his master had killed the wrong person back then, and the Seven Wolves hunted down his master simply for a scroll of scriptures recording vital pressure points. The enemy was already dead, and his master had passed away, leaving Shen Gu to face an unpayable account. Huiji presented him with Buddhist prayer beads, guiding him to the Ghost Island of the South China Sea to find the grandmaster of the Seven Wolves. Shen Gu headed south, confronted, let go, and then headed north back to the temple, sheathing his saber. A single lonely lamp illuminates the entire journey of the saber-wielding swordsman from hatred to enlightenment.

Seguendo la pista del fodero lasciato in eredità dal suo maestro, in una notte di tempesta di neve è entrato con la forza in un tempio in rovina su una montagna innevata. Il vecchio monaco Huiji nel tempio è proprio colui che all'epoca aveva ritirato la spada del nemico. Dopo un combattimento tra un piumino da polvere e una spada, la verità viene a galla strato dopo strato: il maestro aveva ucciso la persona sbagliata anni prima, e i sette lupi avevano dato la caccia al maestro solo a causa di un rotolo di scritture che registrava i punti vitali mortali. Il nemico è morto, il maestro è scomparso, e Shen Gu si trova di fronte a un conto impossibile da saldare. Huiji gli dona delle perle buddiste, guidandolo all'Isola dei Fantasmi del Mare del Sud per trovare il patriarca dei sette lupi. Shen Gu scende a sud, si confronta, lascia andare, e poi risale a nord tornando al tempio, rimettendo la spada nel fodero. Una lampada solitario illumina l'intero percorso del combattente dall'odio all'illuminazione.
