Off-road girl Lin Wenxi retraces the "Zhaojun Goes Beyond the Frontier" route in Bayannur when her vehicle unexpectedly breaks down. Amid the sandstorm, she encounters Wang Zhaojun, who has traveled across thousands of years. The two journey together, from the ruins of Jiluse Fortress to the bustling modern city, from museums to the grasslands by the bonfire. Zhaojun personally plants millet seeds and tells the stories of Hu-Han integration; Lin Wenxi lets her experience the vitality and peace of present-day Bayannur. Through heartfelt conversations, Zhaojun feels the richness of this land after a thousand years and rediscovers the meaning of her mission, while Lin Wenxi understands the profound history behind the marriage alliance. Finally, at the place where they first met, Jiluse Fortress, they witness this cross-time encounter.
