To gather medicine for her gravely ill mother, Lin Wanqiu risked her life climbing Eagle Beak Cliff to pick a century-old Ganoderma. Driven by greed for its wealth, her uncle Lin Dewang severed her climbing rope with a woodchopping blade, plunging her into the bottomless abyss. Miraculously surviving the fall, Lin Wanqiu awakens the ability to understand animal speech, gains the help of a squirrel family, and recovers the herbal basket her father left behind ten years ago. Returning safely to the village laden with mountain bounty, she exposes Lin Dewang's deceit before the villagers and vows to find the severed rope as undeniable proof to seek justice.
