Lin Wei's mother is accidentally trapped inside a sweltering, airtight storage room, her cries for help going unanswered. Meanwhile, her husband Zhou Dahai is busy gaming at an internet cafe, not only disbelieving building manager Zhao Hongmei's warning but cursing at her instead. In this critical moment, Zhao Hongmei puts aside past grievances of being wronged and teams up with neighbors to smash the lock and rescue the elderly woman. After her mother is out of danger, the truth emerges: Zhou Dahai squandered the mother's medical funds, which led to her fall and entrapment. Lin Wei decisively divorces him and calls the police, heals neighborhood rifts, and renovates the storage shed into a sunny terrace, reuniting the family in peace.
