When the Pear Blossoms Have Fallen, the Clouds Disperse, Yet the Night Is Still Not Bright
Shen Wanli, a genius materials researcher, has been hopelessly in love with her senior, Xie Yunchi, for ten years. She gave up top-tier opportunities for him, willingly became his assistant, and was even severely injured saving his life. After a kidnapping incident, Xie Yunchi agreed to get engaged to her out of guilt. Shen Wanli believed she could eventually melt his icy heart, but instead witnessed his indulgence and favoritism toward his junior, Ye Xi. When Xie Yunchi casually gave Ye Xi her core research achievement and publicly belittled her as a mere errand-running assistant, years of accumulated hurt and disappointment finally overwhelmed her. She resolutely sold their marital home, canceled the wedding, severed all ties, accepted a recruitment offer from the National Northwest Aerospace Research Institute, and left for a distant land.
