Mudslides block the mountain, and an elderly expert abandons the mother and daughter to evacuate, falsely claiming over the walkie-talkie that all hospital personnel have already evacuated. Military wife Lin Dongyan stays behind alone, the incubator battery has only three minutes left, a cave-in blocks the passage, and she arches her body to protect the thermal blanket. Memories surface of her husband Gu Chuan sacrificing his life during a border rescue operation, causing her grief-induced premature labor.
