Softheartedness, Ends Here
Shen Lan has run a noodle shop for three years. Understanding that the public restrooms at the night market have been out of service for a long time, she voluntarily opened her shop's restroom to the public for free, asking only for an optional one-yuan cleaning contribution. Unexpectedly, a food blogger edited a video by cutting out the context, falsely portraying her as forcibly charging people for profit and triggering an online backlash. Her shop was vandalized with paint, and she even received a notice ordering her to suspend operations for rectification. With no other choice, Shen Lan sealed off the restroom completely with red bricks. Her attempt to help others out of kindness had only brought her endless trouble.
