Because of Two Rotten Peaches, I Earn 800,000 a Year
Agricultural technician Zhao Shanhe spent three years working in Dashan Village, helping villagers improve their wild peaches and establish a supply chain to the provincial capital. He even paid the down payment on a refrigerated truck out of his own pocket. However, his insistence on strict quality control angered the villagers. They seized the truck, tampered with the contract, and switched to transporting the fruit by tractor. In the end, the goods rotted, and the entire village faced a compensation claim of 500,000 yuan, leaving Zhao Shanhe burdened with debt. Just then, the provincial Green Agriculture Group promoted him to director of its direct procurement center. Zhao Shanhe decisively set off for a new chapter. Dashan Village suffered the consequences of its own greed, while he moved on to a much broader world.
