Daqiang Returns Home in Glory to Settle Old Scores
In a family biased toward sons, female protagonist Liang Ziyi gets accepted into university, but her parents try to force her to drop out and marry so they can afford a bride price for her brother. Her elderly grandmother, enduring illness, borrows money door-to-door and faces cold scorn, while her uncle uses his son's bride price to help her finish her education. Ten years later, she makes a comeback as a business president, returning home in glory. At the village banquet, she settles old grudges and slaps those who kicked her when she was down in the past. She devotes everything to repaying her uncle's kindness, maintains a sober distance from her biased biological parents, and proves that blood ties fall short of genuine hearts, and good and evil ultimately receive their due rewards.
