In the kitchen of the century-old Ju Xian Lou restaurant, chef Chen Feng remains committed to freshly cooked traditional dishes. Moved by the hardship of kitchen assistant Gu Xiaoxiao, he secretly helps her out time and again, only to face harassment and false accusations from director Qian Jin. In reality, Gu Xiaoxiao is the group's chairwoman, secretly investigating the kitchen to uncover industry scandals such as inferior prepackaged meals and kickbacks on ingredients. Chen Feng gathers evidence, breaks the monopoly of unscrupulous suppliers, withstands pressure from the industry association, and upholds his culinary conscience.
