Back to 1960: Fishing and Hunting in Baishan Songshui
As icy water surges beside his ears, Lin Hai suddenly awakens from an endless nightmare of humiliation, only to discover that he has been reborn on the frozen, snow-covered plains of Changbai Mountain in 1960! Before him, his wife, Li Qiaoyun, the woman who ruined half his life in his previous existence, is falling into an ice hole and desperately crying for help. In his previous life, he braved the bitter cold to save her, only to suffer a lifelong disability. For the rest of his life, his wife despised and humiliated him, while her lover schemed against him. He could only watch helplessly as the three younger sisters-in-law she brought with her met tragic fates one by one: one was forced to marry an elderly widower, another was driven mad by a drunkard, and the third became a pawn in a marriage exchange. Reborn into this life, Lin Hai looks at her hypocritical face, feels not the slightest trace of pity, and turns to leave.
