Burdened since childhood with the stigma of being a "disaster star," the powerful official Xie Yang viewed his old friend Rong Cheng as the sole light of his life. Insecure and too timid to confess his love, for seven years he harbored a secret crush, protecting her only under the guise of an arch-rival. Until he discovered that the world they inhabited was entirely virtual, and traversers descended attempting to subvert everything. A life-or-death crisis finally forced him to break through his inferiority shackles, join hands with Rong Cheng to fend off enemies, and bare his deep affection before her. In the end, the two ran toward each other, achieving a blissful union.
