Aboard the 50,000-ton cargo vessel Shenlan, shipping heir Sun Ze forcibly overloads the top deck with 2,150 tons of heavy containers for exorbitant profit. Chief Mate Lu Chen refuses to sign the departure clearance and is imprisoned. Venturing into the deep sea, the ship encounters deadly long-period swells, nearly capsizing as cargo plunges into the ocean. Rescued by the coast guard, Lu Chen uses indisputable black box evidence from the ship's hold to expose the lies. Sun Ze faces legal judgment, and Lu Chen takes over as captain.
