Deep-Sea Rules: When They Drain the Lifesaving Reserve Fuel
When the deep-sea fishing vessel Blue Whale returns to port, the crew settles the accounts and distributes the profits. Captain Zhao Hai has upheld strict safety navigation rules for years, setting aside reserve fuel and purchasing professional meteorological data solely to protect the vessel against sudden dangers in the deep sea. However, the young first mate is blinded by short-term profits and incites the crew to question the rules. Burdened by financial pressures, the crew grows increasingly dissatisfied, overlooking the unpredictable storms and waves at sea. This story reminds us that strict rules and regulations are built upon lessons learned from past disasters. Never take reckless chances for immediate personal gain. Only by respecting the dangers and adhering firmly to safety principles can everyone return home safely.
