After his uncle Lin Yaozu embezzles his family estate and kicks him out of the fleet, Lin Chuan is left with only the derelict vessel Canghai. Relying on half a notebook left by his grandfather, he catches the rare blue-blood dragon lobster and earns his first pot of gold, while seeing through the smear campaign orchestrated by Lin Yaozu and Master Lei. Following a perilous storm in Kuroshio Trench, Lin Chuan brings back the Golden Lobster King, and Lin Yaozu ends up shipwrecked and imprisoned. Lin Chuan then founds the Deep Blue Cooperative and leads Donghai Village to prosperity. Three years later, having settled his released uncle, he steers the Deep Blue out to the open ocean to guard the Golden Sea.
