Three thousand years ago, after the battle of Dengxian Terrace, Heaven stamped eight words on Demon Emperor Jiu Chen: "perished in the mortal world", and Qingqiu was struck from the records. Three thousand years later, he crashes into a rainy night in Huhai, his demon core shattered into nine pieces. With no identity and no name, he becomes an on-call set assistant at a film studio, handing out boxed lunches, getting yelled at and mistaken for a homeless man without an ID. But he refuses to accept that word "perished". Yet every time he uses his demon power, the eyes in the sky draw one step closer: thrill and danger come from the very same move. The reigning leading actress sabotages him in secret, capital bosses throw money around, a mystic sect shows up with the right to subdue demons, and Heaven's decree finally lands before him.
