Purple Fiend Crosses the World - Season 2
All of Changling City knows that the eldest daughter of the Rites Minister's estate was born with a doom-laden destiny, sent to Nanchand Temple right after birth and raised there for eighteen years. The temple did not chant Buddhist scriptures; it only taught how to catch ghosts and draw talismans. Her family visited her at first, but later her mother even forgot to notify her upon giving birth to a youngest daughter, and the heir betrothed to her by arranged marriage also turned around to seek her younger sister's hand. With a wave of his sleeve, her master said, Disciple, your karmic debt—bah, your good affinity has arrived, go down the mountain then. Everyone laughed at the Rites Minister's eldest daughter as a street charlatan. Until at the imperial banquet, a hundred ghosts walked in the night, and red lanterns turned to blood. Everyone saw a woman holding a bone flute, cinnabar as her blade, sealing souls with a single flute.
