After the Heavy Rain Sealed the Village, Suddenly One More Person in the Village
Heavy rain washed away the stone bridge, and Wuling Village was completely sealed off. During the village-wide evacuation roll call, sixty-two people were registered on the roster, but one extra person was present at the scene. Returning surveyor Xu Che discovered that the extra person, Zhou Xun, was clearly familiar to the entire village, yet could not be found anywhere in the household registration archives. Following old keys, scribbled registries, and old photos, everyone dug deeper step by step, uncovering an old case of a quarry collapse from twenty years ago. A sealed secret of tampered records and the deliberate erasure of a child's existence gradually surfaced.
