The Wind in Hawaii Blew Away the Names in the Conference Room
At the company-wide all-hands meeting, in front of more than two hundred people, my wife called out my name three times. "He Haidong, starting today, you are transferred to the Document Destruction Department." Standing beside my wife was Sun Jinzhe, her most trusted junior apprentice. He pushed up his glasses and read out my "charges" on the spot. "Your performance has been at the bottom for three consecutive months, you sleep on the job, watch videos, and slack off. The company cannot condone such behavior." A burst of snickering instantly arose from below. Everyone felt that I, the "CEO's husband," had finally been kicked out of the company by management. No one knew. From the company's servers down to the access control system, I had built every single piece of it with my own hands. A heartwarming ending with no bad guidance.
