A cruise ship sinks, and Lin Chen, Su Wan and three others are stranded on a deserted island with scarce supplies. The selfish Zhao Qiang secretly hoards water and supplies, causing constant conflict in the group. While searching for water, they find old cans and learn that someone once lived on the island. Uncle Wang's wound becomes infected and he runs a high fever, so everyone has to borrow fire from Zhao Qiang to save his life. They build an SOS sign, venture deep into the jungle and find an abandoned wooden shed and a sailing diary, learning that the rising tide will flood the cave. When a rainstorm strikes, they move to safety, but the SOS sign is destroyed and they fall into despair. Just then a ship passes by; Lin Chen fires a flare and they are rescued, while the diary still hides the island's secret.
