In the parallel world of Blue Star, a mysterious bar called "Devil Rental" deals exclusively in renting out demons to fulfill wishes. Its owner Yue Xuan and employee Yan Zhi satisfy the desperate obsessions of troubled souls in exchange for their spirits. Li Xiangyin seeking vengeance for her daughter, Sun Mo who ruined someone's marriage, Gu Xin demanding debts for his mother, and Tian Jianqu determined to protect his adopted daughter, all step into the bar one by one, trading their souls, memories, and the spirits of their loved ones to have their desires granted. Sensing something amiss, reporter Zheng Zhiwei investigates and unveils the truth: the so-called demons are merely illusions created with hallucinogens, and everyone has been consumed by obsession and delusions. In the end, Yue Xuan is arrested by the police, and the bar's lights fade into darkness.
