Eighteen Years of Dusty Fate, One Morning the Phoenix Returns to the Palace
Shen Zhaoluan, who spent eighteen years wandering among the common people, was adopted by the Song family as their foster daughter. Grateful for their kindness in raising her, she secretly devoted herself to helping her adoptive father rise through the ranks. But after the Songs' biological daughter, Song Lanxin, returned, the family twisted the truth, attributing all the achievements to Lanxin. They even tore up an imperial edict in public and drove Zhaoluan out of the house. After returning to the palace and reclaiming her ancestry, Shen Zhaoluan regained her status as the legitimate eldest princess. She repeatedly faced provocations and frame-ups by the Song mother and daughter. When the truth was finally revealed, the Song family deeply regretted their actions. Shen Zhaoluan, however, severed her ties with the past and accepted her investiture under the gaze of the crowd, beginning a life of honor and privilege that was truly her own.
