Xia Qing wakes up to find an unfamiliar young man by her bed. He has orange cat ears, gaze as innocent as an animal's, and his first words are, "Mommy, hungry." Xia Qing soon realizes that this boy—who rubs against her legs, fears baths, craves fish, and insists on following her everywhere—is actually her long-time ginger cat, Tangyuan. But after Tangyuan turns human, strange events unfold one after another: suspicious black cars tailing them, claw marks reappearing in old alleys, feverish mutterings about royal courts and golden seals, and a surveillance video from a rainy night a year ago capturing him falling from the sky. Is he truly just an ordinary cat, or a dangerous fugitive being hunted down?
