Zhou He lebt seit vier Jahren äußerst sorgfältig in einer Mietwohnung. Sie behandelt die Wohnung pfleglich und bezahlt ihre Miete stets pünktlich, ohne dem Vermieter jemals Ärger zu bereiten. Doch als dieser sieht, dass die Mieten im nahegelegenen Schulbezirk steigen, wird er gierig und erhöht kurzerhand die Miete. Enttäuscht verzichtet Zhou He auf einen Streit, packt entschlossen ihre Sachen und zieht aus. Der Vermieter vermietet die Wohnung wie gewünscht an einen neuen Mieter, der mehr zu zahlen bereit ist, und glaubt, damit einen zusätzlichen Gewinn zu erzielen.
