Ten Minutes, He Did Not Give Them to Me
At midnight in the 38th week of pregnancy, Lin Wanjun's water broke. Yet her husband, Gu Pozhou, received a cry for help from his close female friend, Qiao Yue, whose screen test was imminent and who needed him and no one else. He abandoned his wife whose water had broken, drove away with the car carrying the maternity bag, and it would be just ten minutes. Lin Wanjun did not cry or make a scene; she dialed 120 herself, propped up her pelvis, crossed out her husband's name on the emergency card, and changed the primary contact to her mother. A separation notice, twenty-three transactions totaling 186,000 yuan were itemized one by one, and Qiao Yue's backup car was canceled by her own hand. Ninety-seven minutes later he arrived, and the child was already born. He begged for forgiveness; she only replied, 'I accept the apology, but home, I am not returning to.'
