On a freezing snowy day, young Shen Yi and his younger brother were penniless, and their mother had only five cents to beg for a bowl of hot soup. Han Dequan, the kind-hearted noodle shop owner, quietly served them a generous bowl of pork noodle soup, silently saving the desperate family. Years later, Shen Yi fought his way up to become the chairman of a corporate group. Returning to the old town, he ran into Han Dequan being bullied by a demolition team and migrant workers being maliciously denied wages. Shen Yi stepped forward, gathered evidence of the corrupt developer's illegal deeds, and fought for justice for the common folk according to the law. He uncovered the buried past of the older generation, repaid the kindness of that bowl of noodles from years ago, stood firm by the integrity his parents taught him, and spread the heartwarming positive message that goodness will always be answered and keeping one's conscience brings justice.
