The House of Plantagenet: The Angevin Empire (Season 1)
This drama takes the 1154 to 1485 rule of the House of Plantagenet, the longest-reigning royal house in European history, as its true historical background. It fully recounts the complete epic journey of this legendary royal family spanning over three hundred years, from its founding and rise, its golden age of peak prosperity, and its internal strife and decline, all the way to the extinction of its bloodline. In the end, the House of Plantagenet, which lasted for three hundred and thirty-one years, did not perish at the hands of foreign invaders; rather, it collapsed due to internal power struggles and bloodline attrition within the family, fully presenting a heavy historical story of the rise and fall cycle of feudal royal power, the intertwining of human good and evil, and the floating destiny of a family.
