The Tripods Subdue the Vast Sea
This world is divided into the Nine Provinces of the Earth. Its mountains and rivers have their limits, and even the vast ocean has its boundaries. At the far end of the Southern Sea stands the eternal ice wall built by Yu the Great, sealing away the primordial source of the ancient flood within. These waters are an untamed primeval torrent from the dawn of time, concealing the power to overturn the Nine Provinces. As long as the seal remains firm, the Nine Provinces will enjoy peace and the people will live in harmony. But should the seal weaken, the raging floodwaters could invade the Central Plains. Yu the Great forged the Nine Tripods not as immortal treasures, but as ancient divine instruments meant to suppress the primordial flood and stabilize the ley lines of the Nine Provinces. Xu Fu leads his companions out to sea, venturing through the mist in search of the mysterious ruins. Their sole purpose is to protect the secret power of the Nine Tripods and prevent a catastrophe that could engulf the entire world.
