In the apocalyptic era, An Ran awakens a rare gathering ability, but Xu Huifang and Xu Xingxing tamper with her college application, intending to profit from selling her to a club. Warned by nightmares from her previous life, An Ran leaves home and settles in a wilderness camp. By gathering mutated plants and animals and absorbing energy crystals, she improves her attributes and unlocks remote gathering and the Eye of Insight. Along the way, she meets reliable teammates, including Sanqi. When beast tides and insect disasters erupt, she seizes the opportunity to collect large quantities of crystal cores and attribute boosts, dramatically increasing her strength. Xu Huifang tries to drug her with sleeping pills and sell her off, but An Ran sees through the scheme and reports her. She joins the Thunder Mercenary Corps and discovers a high-grade mutated sweet potato that helps her rise through the ranks. Finally breaking free from a life at the bottom, she establishes herself in the base through her gathering ability and steadily grows stronger.

Nell’era dell’apocalisse, An Ran risveglia una rara abilità speciale di raccolta, ma Xu Huifang e Xu Xingxing falsificano la sua domanda universitaria per trarre profitto da lei vendendola a un club. Avvertita dagli incubi della sua vita precedente, An Ran lascia casa e si stabilisce in un accampamento nella natura selvaggia. Raccoglie piante e animali mutanti e usa cristalli energetici per migliorare i propri attributi e sbloccare la raccolta a distanza e l’Occhio d’Esplorazione. Lungo il cammino incontra compagni affidabili, tra cui Sanqi. Quando esplodono le ondate di bestie e le calamità degli insetti, coglie l’occasione per raccogliere numerosi nuclei cristallini e aumentare i propri attributi, potenziandosi notevolmente. Xu Huifang tenta di drogarla con sonniferi per rivenderla, ma An Ran smaschera il piano e la denuncia. In seguito si unisce al Corpo di Mercenari del Tuono e trova una patata dolce mutante di alto livello che la aiuta a fare carriera. Liberatasi definitivamente da una vita ai margini della società, si afferma nella base grazie alla sua abilità di raccolta e continua a diventare più forte.
