Shen Ci, a youth of Linyuan City, had borne a useless spirit mark for fifteen years. Mocked at every annual sect evaluation, he was scorned by the entire city as good-for-nothing trash. No one knew that beneath the silence on the back of his hand lay the ancient divine mark of the Torch Dragon, dormant for ten thousand years. After fifteen years of sincere, uncorrupted nourishment, he finally awakens the divine mark in a dire crisis, unlocking supreme power and bringing forth the ancient beast Bai Ze, Yuanyuan, who knows all things. The Spirit Guardian of Mountains and Seas appears to reveal Shen Ci's destiny as the Torch Dragon Walker, as well as the creeping conspiracies of the Rubbing Faction, the Nether Realm, and the Mark-Testing Division.
