Kind-hearted Dashan spends all his money to save a divine steed banished from the heavens that was destined for slaughter. His kind and gentle mother, bedridden for years with coughing and asthma, understands and supports her son's good deed. Though their family is impoverished, she does not crave worldly wealth, serving as Dashan's steadfast support and guiding him to find the Treasure Bowl to relieve starving villagers during a famine. When a greedy rich man steals and destroys the treasure, plunging everyone into despair, a hedgehog spirit arrives with grain seeds, and the villagers work together diligently to reclaim the wasteland. Once the divine steed finishes its earthly trial and returns to heaven, it reveals the ultimate truth: a kind heart is the true treasure bowl.
