Jealous of his wife Shen Mo's talent, Lu Chuan belittled her for years and forced her to sacrifice her career for the family. Twenty years later, Lu Chuan openly mocks Shen Mo with his mistress Su Wanqing. Seeing through him at last, Shen Mo breaks ties with Lu Chuan and leaves the Lu family with nothing. With the help of her junior Chen Qichen, she picks up ancient painting restoration again to make a living. At an auction where she works as a cleaner, Shen Mo reveals her past identity as a world-class master restorer with an exquisite Tang Dynasty painting she personally restored. Using her prestige and connections, she deals a heavy blow to the Lu family's business. In desperation, Lu Chuan tries to frame her by swapping fakes for real antiques, only to end up arrested alongside Su Wanqing.
