Reborn seven days prior, Shen Xingwan—who in her past life was pushed by her boyfriend Jiang Hao and best friend Bai Ruoxi to be fed to horsehair worms and died a miserable death—sold off her assets to transform her supermarket into an alloy fortress, stockpiling massive amounts of supplies and weapons while guarding against malicious neighbors, treating only the doctor Lu Shiyan who once saved her with kindness. After the worm tide swept in, she exchanged gold for supplies, successively settling scores with betrayers and mobs, and also routing a plundering speeding convoy. She unexpectedly discovered that the worm tide was a biological experiment by the Abyss Organization, teamed up with survivors to launch a feint-and-attack raid on the underground laboratory, shut down the worm swarm control terminal, ended the man-made disaster, and finally led the crowd to start a wasteland rebirth in the sturdy fortress.
