In the fifth year of the apocalypse, others survive with guns, superpowers, or gangs—while he has only a beat-up RV, an account ledger, and a soft, foolish heart that can't bear seeing others suffer. At 29, Gu Xingzhou is timid, nerdy, and obsessed with bookkeeping, making him the most unremarkable survivor in the wasteland. Yet it is this heavily patched Xuan Gui RV that takes in a trafficked female medic, an abandoned veteran mechanic, a wandering orphan, and a signal soldier. Living on a shoestring budget and upgrading along the way, they scrimp and save to gather parts, turning a wreck into a mobile home. Outside lies a savage world of fog erosion, zombie hordes, and ruthless gangs; inside the RV, a kerosene lantern always stays lit.
