Jiang Chen, the head of a construction company, stays behind at Qingfeng Court to protect the old family home his father left him. However, a dispute arises between him and the residents on the upper floors over installing an elevator in their aging residential building. Jiang initially appears to agree to the neighbors' request, but concerned about construction compliance and the building's structural safety, he insists on supervising the entire project. After the elevator is completed, he discovers serious hazards, including substandard construction and unauthorized alterations to load-bearing structures. He takes measures to restrict the elevator's use, sparking heated debates among the neighbors over convenience and safety. As cracks begin appearing in the building's walls and other dangers emerge, everyone must work together to find a solution and confront the building's safety risks.
