After the Hidden Master Descends the Mountain to Break Off the Engagement, I Become the Grandmaster - Season 1
Lin Ye, a successor of the Kunlun lineage, descends the mountain to break off an engagement. Dressed in a tattered Taoist robe and flip-flops, he originally plans to scrape by as a security guard and live out his days doing nothing. But through a twist of fate, he becomes the personal bodyguard of Shen Bingqing, an exceptionally beautiful CEO. Little does he know that his master has faked his death and left him with an enormous debt of hundreds of billions. Desperate to earn money and repay it, Lin Ye plays the fool while crushing one formidable opponent after another. He turns chopsticks into hidden weapons, uses beef tripe to break deadly traps, crushes his power-hungry second uncle, takes on the Martial Arts Association, and even turns the tables by extorting assassins from the dark web. While collecting ancient jade, he accidentally uncovers the shocking identity of a surviving heir of the Xie royal clan. After breaking through to the Martial God realm, he sweeps away his enemies. At the end of Season One, a text message from his master reveals that all of this was merely a beginner's village trial. The real storm is yet to come, and its target is the overseas Ancient Martial Arts Alliance!
