Dam keeper Lin Chen spent 120,000 yuan of his own money and dedicated 15 years to reinforcing the village's old reservoir. However, he was framed by his cousin Lin Degui, misunderstood by the villagers, and forced to surrender management rights. Coveting hydropower dividends, the villagers insisted on excavating the seepage-proof core wall he built. Torrential rains eventually triggered a dam collapse, destroying their homes. Meanwhile, Lin Chen rose to become a hydraulic engineer and was ordered to return to rebuild the dam after the disaster. Lin Degui's family suffered their just deserts, and Lin Hao was brought to justice for spreading rumors, seeking revenge, and intentional sabotage.
