Melon farmer Li Dashan was hauling a truckload of Hami melons and bringing along his daughter Tangtang when he encountered price compression while selling melons. On his return trip, passing through a tunnel, he accidentally time-traveled to a war-torn and drought-stricken ancient border. He met the spirited female general Shen Qingge, and a truckload of Hami melons quenched the army's thirst, in exchange for gold. Modern supplies became hard currency in turbulent times, and Li Dashan traveled back and forth between the two realms, helping the border solve its predicament of lacking water, food, and weapons.
