Born with an innate immortal physique, Xu Buque cannot cultivate due to blocked meridians. Only drinking alcohol can temporarily unblock them, or dual cultivation with an extremely rare Extreme Cold Physique seen only once in centuries can cure him completely. One day, while drunk, his meridians fully open, allowing him to slay a demon god with a single blow before crashing into the Shen family residence, where he encounters Shen Qingcheng, possessor of the Extreme Cold Physique. To foster a good match, his master orders him to help the Shen family compete in the disciple recruitment ceremony. At the ceremony, a drunken Xu Buque defeats their foes, drawing suspicion and retaliation from the Wang family. Through trials and tribulations, their feelings deepen. In the end, when the Wang family colludes with the Demon Realm attempting to refine the mortal world, Xu Buque and Shen Qingcheng unite through dual cultivation to avert the apocalyptic catastrophe for all living beings.
