Two Free Refusals, One Hundred Fifty Thousand Self-Funded
To repay his fellow villagers, Zhou Lan funds the upgrade of the old street's power lines. However, restaurant owner Sun Youcai blocks the road with his car, extorting 120,000 yuan while twice rejecting the free connection, convinced the other man would bow down sooner or later. On the day of his daughter's wedding, Jufulu Restaurant's hundred-table banquet is forced to halt due to an overload of the old wiring, causing orders and reputation to slip away one after another. By the time he finally seeks help, the unified project has long been completed, leaving him no choice but to sell his car to gather 150,000 yuan for self-funded renovations. The power is restored and the lights shine brightly once more, yet the hall is entirely devoid of guests. Facing his daughter's disappointment and the consequences of his own actions, he finally understands that rules cannot be manipulated, and missed opportunities and lost trust may not necessarily be bought back with money.
