On their wedding night, the tyrannical emperor Lee Tak forces the regent Lee Jae-sang to teach him how to "consummate the marriage." As a transmigrator from modern times, Lee Jae-sang's plan to mold the young ruler into a wise king completely derails when he inadvertently becomes the tyrant's only weakness. Using the very strategies taught by his mentor, Lee Tak seizes absolute power and locks him away. When rebels strike, Lee Jae-sang shields the emperor by taking a poisoned arrow. The grief-stricken tyrant cries out, "I never wanted an empire—I only wanted you." Breathing his last, Lee Jae-sang's only regret is not taming his fierce disciple sooner.
