Xu Changqing travels through time to the Tang Dynasty and binds himself to a National Destiny System that grants rewards as long as he establishes a nation. Transporté dans le temps sous la dynastie Tang, Xu Changqing se lie à un Système du Destin National qui lui accorde des récompenses chaque fois qu'il fonde un pays. Pour éviter de se retrouver pris dans le chaos de l'époque, il emmène à l'étranger un groupe de talents encore méconnus. À sa grande surprise, il s'enfuit également avec la princesse Changle, Li Lizhi, qui dissimule son identité. Quelques années plus tard, il a fondé la dynastie Ming et dirige une nation puissante.
