Fortune Fills the Deep Palace: The Beloved Consort Is a Little Sweet
Song Ruanqiu, a chubby, adorable foodie, deliberately stuffs herself at a palace banquet to avoid the imperial selection, but unexpectedly cures the young emperor Xiao Lin's anorexia and is chosen to enter the palace. She spends her days happily grilling skewers and living self-sufficiently in the palace, befriending three consorts who, like her, have no interest in competing for the emperor's favor. She even mistakes Xiao Lin, who is traveling incognito, for a eunuch sneaking in for a free meal. As it turns out, Xiao Lin was saved by Ruanqiu when he was a child and has long been in love with her. When the Empress Dowager's faction makes things difficult for Ruanqiu, Xiao Lin reveals his true identity and protects her. Unwilling to be confined to the imperial harem, Ruanqiu inspires Xiao Lin to stage a fake death in a fire, abandon his throne, and follow her to Qingzhou. In the end, they marry and spend their lives together, while the three consorts also fulfill their own dreams. Everyone gets a happy ending.
