Su Lu, an overseas regional director, earned tens of millions over three years and sent it all to her husband, Lin Yu, hoping to give her parents an easy retirement and provide the best education for her son. But when the project ended early and she quietly returned home, she discovered their elite school district home had been sold, and her parents and son Haohao were selling roasted sweet potatoes in the freezing wind, crammed into a dark basement. Lin Yu had lied to them, claiming she embezzled company funds and accrued massive debts, forcing the elderly parents to sell their home and car—while he used her money to support his first love and her child, even donating a part of his liver to save the other kid. Once the truth came to light, Su Lu calmly gathered evidence, reported him to the police, filed a lawsuit to recover her assets, and severed the marriage. In the end, she moved into a new home with her parents and Haohao, reclaiming her stolen dignity and peace.
