Eight Hundred and Eight Favors, Nine Thousand Lessons
Zhao Qiang booked his old classmate Ye Qing's hotel for the National Day holiday, an 880-yuan-a-night panoramic suite. Ye Qing turned down a high-priced booking to keep the room for him at the original price. However, his wife Liu Mei stumbled upon an ad for a "380-yuan luxury suite in the city center" and forced Zhao Qiang to ask Ye Qing for a discount. Ye Qing calmly refused, saying 880 was already a favor price. Zhao Qiang slammed the table and canceled the booking on the spot, getting his 2,000-yuan deposit back down to the last penny. Ye Qing didn't try to make them stay, and the top-floor suite was snapped up by someone else at full price right away. Meanwhile, the hotline Liu Mei dialed was dragging them step by step into an unexpected farce.
