Grandpa's 90th Birthday, The Whole Family Turns the Place Upside Down
Chen Xiaomei, the owner of a steamed bun shop, has spent half her life being honest and the other half enduring everyone else's mistreatment. On her father's 90th birthday, her two older brothers argue over the 78,000-yuan banquet bill, each trying to push the responsibility onto the other. They call her to pay, even though she was never invited to the celebration. This time, Xiaomei refuses to give in. Wearing gray cloth shoes stained with flour, she walks into the red banquet tent and demands her rightful seat in front of all 90 tables of guests, finally speaking openly about years of accumulated grievances. When her two sisters-in-law fight over their grandmother's silver bracelet and bring their quarrel to her steamed bun shop, Grandpa gives the bracelet to Xiaomei, revealing that her mother had asked him to save it for her before she died. A letter that arrives twenty years too late finally brings the entire family back together around one dining table.
